I recently donated a special wheelchair-accessible schooldesk to Aspley East State School that is currently being used by a Grade 1 student with Cerebral Palsy. I had the great pleasure of heading down there earlier today to meet Tommy and see him at work at the new desk. It was fantastic to meet Tommy, his mother Eriko and the dedicated teachers who are helping to maximise his involvement in classroom activities. I am so pleased to see Tommy's learning opportunities improved with the use of this desk and I look forward to hearing of his positive development in the future.
